about me A calling that started early
People say to find your passion in life, you should look at what you loved to do as a child. When I was just seven years old, I opened a spa business called Heaven at Your Feet — complete with a handwritten menu of pedicures and spa services for family and friends. I made potions in the backyard from plants and things I found playing outside. I didn't know it then, but I was already doing exactly what I was meant to do.
my skin story From suffering to freedom.
I have thought about my "problem" skin every single day since I was eleven years old. Keratosis pilaris on my arms, acne on my face, chest, back, and shoulders — it affected my confidence, the clothes I felt I could wear, my relationships, every major event, every photo ever taken of me.
That's all to say: I know what it feels like. To cry about your skin. To think about it every minute. To be in a mental prison. I also know that seeking professional help can change your skin and change the way you see yourself — because it did for me.
Even when I started beauty school I was still struggling with acne. Our instructor told us to come in the next day with no makeup on — we were starting facials. I cried. I hadn't let anyone see me without makeup in years. Showing up that day bare-faced was the beginning of breaking free for me, and informed the way I work today: When you're on my table, you are safe. No judgment. Just care.
Our face is the one thing we can't fully hide. And I don't want you to have to hide. Clear, healthy skin is freedom. It's touching your face without flinching. It's showing up to that event, that interview, that photo — without dreading it. It's getting dressed in the morning without thinking about what you need to cover.
